## Description

Bastion is a dark-first block theme for MSPs, IT support companies, cybersecurity consultancies and SOC providers. A near-black blue base with a faint grid, cyan for everything you can click and amber for alerts, Space Grotesk headlines and JetBrains Mono labels like "[ 01 ] MANAGED IT".

* **Status console:** a terminal-style card with "Systems nominal", uptime, response time and endpoints that count up, a 30-day availability bar and the last incident.
* **Incident bar:** an amber strip above the header with your emergency number from Business details. Visitors can dismiss it.
* **Business content built in:** services (shown as a numbered matrix and as spec sheets), case studies (written up as incident reports with a timestamped detection, response and recovery timeline), engineers, testimonials, FAQs, client logos and support plans with an SLA response-time table. Search and filter bars on every archive.
* **31 patterns:** five heroes (console split, incident cover, featured service, "How can we help?" search, stats grid), services matrix, SLA plans, certifications marquee, onboarding timeline (DAY 01 to DAY 30), threat stats, FAQ console, security checklist lead magnet, CTA band, galleries, advisories, forms, footers and five complete pages.
* **Forms without plugins:** contact, security assessment request, checklist download and newsletter forms. Messages are stored under Messages in wp-admin and emailed to you.
* **Light and dark:** dark by default, with a hand-tuned light scheme behind the toggle in the header.
* **Style variations:** Daylight (light), Red Team, Phosphor and Corporate Shield, each with its own matching light scheme.
* **Motion:** blur-in heroes, staggered grids, counting numbers and a cyan glow on hover, all off when the visitor prefers reduced motion.

No plugins needed. The free Secure Custom Fields plugin lets you edit prices, features, facts and business details (the theme offers to install it).

## Frequently Asked Questions

#### Where do form messages go?

Every submission is stored under Messages in wp-admin and emailed to the address in the Messages settings (the site's admin email by default). To send one form somewhere else, select the form block and fill in "Email to".

#### How do I change the emergency phone number?

Business → Business details → Phone. The incident bar, footer, cover hero and every "Incident line" pick it up.

#### Can visitors hide the incident bar?

Yes, with the × button; the choice is remembered in their browser. To remove the bar for everyone, switch the header template part to "Header (no incident bar)" in the Site Editor.

#### How do I add a featured video to a post?

Open the post, find "Featured video" in the sidebar and paste a YouTube or Vimeo link or choose a video file. The single post template shows it in place of the featured image.

#### Can I turn off the animations?

They respect your visitors' "reduce motion" setting automatically. To remove one, select the block and clear its Motion setting.

#### Is there a light mode?

Yes. Bastion is dark by default; the sun/moon button in the header switches to the light scheme and remembers the choice. Pick the "Daylight" style variation to make light the default.
