## Description

Hedgerow is a block theme for rural estate agents: working farms, country houses, cottages, equestrian property, land and woodland. Parchment pages with a fine grain, Petrona letterpress headings with Work Sans labels, engraved hedgerow sprigs, deckle-edged photographs and hedge-cut section edges give it the feel of printed particulars, while acreage always comes first.

What's built in, with no page builder:

* Properties as a content type (the Symelo real estate foundation): price, plot size in acres or hectares, bedrooms, floor area, year built, galleries, floor plans, features, a map, a virtual tour and an agent for every listing.
* Listing pages with the acreage, bedrooms, floor area and year up top, a large map of where the land lies, the land, house and outbuildings, a viewing request panel and the agent's card.
* A ruled search ledger (location, type, price) on the home page and the archive, with sort, active filter chips and pages.
* Patterns: five heroes (wide landscape with search, letterpress headline in a botanical frame, estate spotlight with a facts ledger, a seasonal photo strip with the area guide, and a slow Ken Burns drift over the meadow and the lake cabin), land and outbuildings, the area guide, featured property, figures, a valuation prompt for farm owners, the country homes newsletter, galleries, FAQ, a contact form, footers and complete pages.
* Forms (contact, valuation, newsletter, viewing requests): messages are kept under Messages in the dashboard and emailed to you.
* Light and dark color schemes with a switch in the header, and three seasonal style variations: Winter, Harvest and Heath, each with its own dark scheme.
* Slow fades that stop when visitors prefer reduced motion.
* A demo site to import under Appearance → Import demo.

## Frequently Asked Questions

#### Do I need any plugins?

No. The theme works on its own. The free Secure Custom Fields plugin is recommended: it adds the fields for prices, galleries, floor plans and hosts to the editor (the theme offers to install it with one click).

#### Where do booking requests and messages go?

Every form submission is stored under Messages in the dashboard. Booking requests and questions about a home are emailed to the home's host (the email on their host profile), or to the address set in Properties → Settings when a home has no host. Other forms go to the recipients set under Messages → Settings, else to the site administrator's email.

#### How do I show the price per night?

Edit a home, set its price and choose "Per night" (or "Per week") in the "Price is" field. The cards, the booking panel and the search then show it as "€185 / night". Set "Minimum stay" and "Guests" for the stickers and the booking form.

#### Where do the house rules come from?

The "Before you pack" section of the stay page shows the House rules and Good to know pattern on homes priced per night or per week. Change its text in the Site Editor (Patterns → Hedgerow: Guests and hosts), or edit the stay template to remove it.

#### How do I add a featured video?

In the editor's document sidebar, open Featured video and paste a YouTube or Vimeo link, or choose a video file from the media library. The stay page shows it under the description.

#### Can I turn off the animations?

Visitors who ask their device for reduced motion never see them. To remove an animation from a block, open the block's Motion panel in the editor and clear it.

#### How does dark mode work?

The sun and moon button in the header switches between the light and dark schemes and remembers the choice; without a choice the site follows the visitor's system. Every style variation brings its own dark scheme.
