## Description

Selvedge dresses a WooCommerce store like a fashion magazine: Didone headlines on ivory paper, campaign photography, a glassy sticky header and calm, generous product pages. It is built for clothing, accessories and lifestyle brands, and works with any WooCommerce store.

* **Store templates:** an editorial product page (photo grid, sticky summary with badges, highlights, size guide, delivery, details and reviews), a catalog with a filter drawer and sorting, product search, cart, checkout, order confirmation and a mini-cart drawer with the free-shipping threshold.
* **Product extras:** badges (Limited, Handmade, Eco… plus automatic New, Sale, Sold out and low stock), highlights, a specifications table, materials, care, product video and shared size guides that open in a dialog. They use the free Secure Custom Fields plugin, which the theme offers to install.
* **Store extras:** announcement bar, selling points, trust badges, shipping and returns, free-shipping threshold, all under Products → Store extras.
* **Patterns:** campaign heroes (photo, video, split, lookbook), product rails and grids, category tiles, lookbooks, journal sections, forms (contact, newsletter, styling appointment), questions, press, testimonials and complete pages.
* **Demo store:** Appearance → Import demo creates products, categories, badges, a size guide, Home, About, Contact and Shipping pages, the menu and the store extras, and removes them again with one click.
* **Built in, no extra plugins:** forms with a Messages screen, galleries with lightbox and carousel, click-to-load video, motion, light and dark color schemes with a switch, four style variations (Noir, Sage, Blush, Modern).

## Frequently Asked Questions

#### Do I need WooCommerce?

Yes, Selvedge is a store theme. Without WooCommerce your posts and pages still work, and the dashboard links to the WooCommerce installer.

#### Where do badges, highlights, specifications and size guides come from?

From the Product extras box on each product (with Secure Custom Fields active) and from Products → Badges and Products → Size guides. Store-wide texts (announcement bar, selling points, trust badges, shipping and returns) are under Products → Store extras.

#### Where do form messages go?

Every form submission is saved under Messages in the dashboard and, unless the form says otherwise, emailed to the address in Messages → Settings (the site's admin email by default). Newsletter forms only store the address.

#### How do I add a product video?

Paste a YouTube, Vimeo or video file link in Product extras → Video. YouTube and Vimeo load only when a visitor presses play.

#### Can I turn off the animations or dark mode?

Animations stop for visitors who prefer reduced motion. Dark mode follows the visitor's system setting until they use the switch in the header; choose a style variation in Appearance → Editor → Styles to change the default.
