## Description

Strafe is a block theme for esports organizations, teams and clans. It is dark first, fast and full of match-day energy: condensed italic headlines, angular panels, volt-green accents and motion that stays out of the way.

Built in:

* Matches with date and time, status (upcoming, live, finished, postponed, cancelled), your team against the opponent with logos, score, format, maps, highlights, stream and VOD links. Upcoming matches turn live by themselves at their start time.
* A schedule and results block with status tabs and a game filter, scoreboards with a countdown, a "live now" badge in the header and a live banner.
* Teams with logo, tag, region, roster and achievements; players with handle, real name, role, country, photo, social links, stream, stats and setup.
* Tournaments with dates, location, prize pool, tier, organizer and your results, plus a trophy cabinet.
* Sponsors, a Discord call to action, a merch button and a click-to-play stream player (Twitch, YouTube, Kick) on a "Community & sponsors" settings page.
* Filters for matches, players, teams and tournaments (game, status, team, role, search, sort).
* SportsEvent structured data on every match page.
* Forms (contact, newsletter, tryouts application, partnership inquiry) stored under Messages in wp-admin, galleries with a lightbox, carousels, lite video embeds, animations, light and dark color schemes and four style variations.
* A one-click demo import (Appearance > Import demo) with three teams, twelve players, eleven matches, five tournaments, news and pages.

Strafe stores teams, players, matches and tournaments as their own content types. Their fields use the free Secure Custom Fields plugin; Strafe offers to install it with one click. Without it every page still works, the extra fields are just not editable.

## Frequently Asked Questions

#### Where do form messages go?

Every form stores its messages under Messages in wp-admin. A form can also email them: select the form block and switch on Email in its settings. Messages > Settings sets the recipient (by default the site's admin email).

#### How do I show a match as live?

Upcoming matches show as live between their start time and the end of their expected duration. To control it yourself, set the match's Status to Live, then to Finished with the final score.

#### Where do I add sponsors, the Discord invite and the merch store?

Under Gaming > Community & sponsors (with Secure Custom Fields active).

#### How do I turn off the animations?

Visitors who ask their system for reduced motion get none. To remove an animation for everyone, select the block and clear its Motion setting.

#### How does dark mode work?

Strafe is dark by default. The sun and moon button in the header switches to the light scheme and remembers the choice.
