## Description

Wellspring gives a charity everything it needs to tell its story and turn visitors into donors and volunteers, in soft serif type over linen and spring green with marigold Donate buttons, arched photos and a gentle ripple motif.

* **Causes** with a goal, the amount raised, donors, days left and a progress bar or ring; gift levels ("$25 buys a week of groceries"), updates from the field and a photo gallery. Every cause links to its own donation page or to your site-wide one.
* **Donations stay with your platform.** The theme never takes payments: Donate buttons link to your donation page (Stripe, PayPal, a fundraising platform…), with gift amounts passed in the address when your platform supports it.
* **Programs** with their reach and results, **volunteer roles** with filters and an application form, **events** with dates, a click-to-load map and sign-up links, the **team** (with initials when there is no photo) and **partner** logos.
* **Impact and transparency:** impact figures that count up, "where your money goes", annual reports and governance documents, registered details and NGO structured data for search engines.
* **Search and filters** on every list: keyword, focus area, open/urgent/completed, ending soon, upcoming/past events, in person/remote roles.

Custom fields use the free Secure Custom Fields plugin: Wellspring offers to install it with one click. Without it, everything still displays; the fields just can't be edited.

## Frequently Asked Questions

#### How do I set up donations?
Install and activate Secure Custom Fields when the theme asks, then go to Organization → Donations and paste the address of your donation page. Every Donate button links there. A cause can have its own donation page (Cause details → Donation link). If your donation page accepts a preset amount in its address (for example ?amount=25), enter the parameter name under "Amount parameter" and the gift levels link straight to it.

#### Where do volunteer applications and messages go?
To Messages in wp-admin, and by email to the address under Organization → Donations → "Volunteer applications go to" (else Messages → Settings, else the site admin email). Each form block can have its own recipient and can store messages without emailing them.

#### How do I show impact numbers and the transparency page?
Organization → Impact holds the figures shown by the Impact block (they count up when scrolled into view). Organization → Transparency holds how donations are spent, the annual reports and documents.

#### How do I change the order of causes or show only urgent ones?
Visitors sort and filter with the search bar on the causes page. In the editor, a Query Loop of causes accepts presets (see the theme documentation), and the "Urgent appeal spotlight" pattern shows the newest cause marked urgent.

#### Can I turn off the animations?
Visitors who prefer reduced motion see no animations and no autoplaying video. You can remove an animation by deleting its "sk-" class under Advanced → Additional CSS class(es), or with the Motion panel.

#### How does dark mode work?
The sun/moon button in the header switches between light and dark; the first visit follows the visitor's system setting. Each style variation has its own dark palette.
