A refined concert-hall theme for music schools and private teachers: lessons laid out like a concert programme, staff-line dividers, Bodoni on ivory with burgundy and brass.

== Description ==

Cadenza is a block theme for music schools, conservatoire prep studios and private teachers of piano, guitar, voice, violin, theory and production. It looks like a printed concert programme: ivory paper, ink black, brass rules and burgundy accents, headings in Bodoni Moda with small-caps kickers, five thin staff lines as dividers and section backgrounds, and plenty of white space.

What is built in (no plugins needed):

* Lessons, teachers, instruments and levels: lesson pages with the programme of start dates (date in small caps, title in italics, dotted leaders to the price), curriculum, teachers, reviews, questions, venue map and an enquiry form; teacher profiles with instrument tags; a lesson catalog with filters by instrument, level and format.
* Signature sections: the grade ladder (Beginner to Advanced), a "programme" of upcoming lessons, a recital spotlight, teacher profiles, the practice tips journal.
* Forms: trial lesson request (instrument, age, level, preferred days), contact, lesson advice and the monthly letter. Messages are stored in wp-admin → Messages and emailed to you.
* Heroes: music-room cover with a programme card, the staff-line hero with rising notes and a lesson finder, a background video, the trial lesson split hero and the recital spotlight, plus the latest practice note.
* Galleries (masonry and carousel with a lightbox), a recital film, quotes, numbers, venue marquee, FAQ and full pages: Home, Landing, About, Contact, Trial lesson and Recitals.
* Light and dark schemes with a switch in the header, and four style variations: Ivory, Concert hall (dark), Jazz club and Nocturne.
* Gentle entrance animations that respect reduced-motion settings.
* A demo import (Appearance → Import demo): seven lessons, five teachers, six instruments, grade levels, pages and a menu.

Secure Custom Fields is recommended for editing course prices, curricula, start dates and teacher profiles; everything displays without it.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Where do form messages go? =

Every form submission is saved in wp-admin → Messages. Lesson enquiries are also emailed to the addresses under Courses → Settings; other forms email the site administrator. Change the recipient of a form in the block settings of the Form block.

= How do I add a trial lesson page? =

Create a page with the slug "trial-lesson" and insert the "Trial lesson page" pattern. The header's "Book a trial" button links to it automatically (or to the Contact page while it does not exist).

= How do I add a video to a lesson? =

Open the lesson in the editor and use the Featured video panel in the sidebar (a YouTube or Vimeo link, or a video file). Without a video the featured image is shown.

= Can I turn off the animations? =

Animations follow the visitor's "reduce motion" system setting. To remove them from a block, delete its sk-reveal or sk-stagger class under Advanced → Additional CSS classes.

= How does dark mode work? =

The theme follows the visitor's system setting, and the switch in the header lets them choose. The Concert hall and Nocturne style variations are dark by default.
