A minimal, dark-first block theme for AI startups and AI products: prompt-box and chat heroes, benchmarks, model comparison, API quickstart and usage pricing.

== Description ==

Cognita is built for AI assistants, copilots, model and API companies and research-led startups. It starts dark: near-black surfaces, slowly turning luminous orbs, a fine grain, thin hairlines and mono labels, with a light "Lab" scheme one click away.

What's inside, with no plugins needed:

* Heroes: an "Ask anything" prompt box that types itself, a chat transcript with cited answers, a benchmark hero with counting numbers, a looping orb video hero, a research-paper hero and a hero that shows your latest model release.
* AI sections: chat transcript, model comparison table, API quickstart (cURL, Python, JavaScript in expandable terminal panels), usage pricing per million tokens, model release notes, security and compliance (SOC 2, GDPR), community links.
* Product content from the Symelo landing foundation: capabilities (features) with their own pages, an integrations directory with category chips and instant search, a changelog, pricing plans with a monthly/yearly switch and a comparison table, testimonials, FAQ with structured data, a waitlist with a live count and a countdown.
* Forms (Symelo Theme Kit): API access request, research digest and release-notes signups, contact and waitlist forms; messages are stored under Messages in wp-admin and can be emailed to you.
* Galleries (masonry and carousel) with a lightbox, video embeds that load only when clicked, a featured video for posts.
* Templates: blog home, single post with reading progress, page, wide page, research paper (numbered sections with a table of contents), archive, search, 404, landing and one-page templates, and designed templates for capabilities, integrations and model releases.
* Style variations: Lab (light), Infrared, Aurora and Mono; each dark variation has a matching light scheme.
* Motion that respects reduced-motion settings, WCAG AA contrast in every scheme, bundled fonts and no requests to other sites.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Where do form messages go? =

Every submission is stored under Messages in wp-admin. Forms that send email go to the address set in the Messages settings (or the site admin email); change the recipient per form in the form block's settings.

= Where do prices, models and release notes come from? =

Capabilities, integrations, releases, pricing plans, testimonials and FAQs are their own content types (menu items in wp-admin). Their extra fields need the free Secure Custom Fields plugin; the theme offers to install it. Product-wide links (sign-up, sign-in, demo, status) live under Appearance → Product details.

= How do I add a featured video to a post? =

Open the post's settings sidebar, find "Featured video" and paste a YouTube or Vimeo link or choose a video file. Single posts show it instead of the featured image.

= Can I turn off the animations? =

Visitors who ask their system for reduced motion get no animations. To remove one from a block, open the block's Motion panel or remove its sk- class under Advanced.

= Is there a light mode? =

Yes. The switch in the header toggles between the dark default and the light "Lab" scheme and remembers the choice. The Lab style variation makes the whole site light.

= Demo content =

Appearance → Import demo installs the demo set (capabilities, integrations, releases, plans, testimonials, FAQs and pages).
