Kestrel is built for outdoor brands and bike, climbing and hiking shops that sell on numbers: weights, temperatures and waterproof ratings come first. Condensed uppercase headlines, spec chips, heavy 2px rules, angled corners and dark topographic bands give the store a field-tested look, in light and dark.

• Store templates: a technical product page (gallery with thumbnails and zoom, sticky summary with badges, highlights, add to cart, size guide, spec list, delivery and details), a catalog with filters always open on desktop and the results bar in a dark band, product search, cart, checkout, order confirmation and a mini-cart drawer with the free-shipping threshold.
• Product extras: badges (Limited, Eco… plus automatic New, Sale, Sold out and low stock), highlights, specifications, materials, care, product video and shared size guides that open in a dialog. They use the free Secure Custom Fields plugin, which the theme offers to install.
• Store extras: announcement bar, selling points, trust badges, shipping and returns, free-shipping threshold, all under Products → Store extras.
• Patterns: summit, trail-video, conditions, gear-list and latest-trip heroes; a conditions marquee, activity tiles, a new-gear carousel, a numbered gear checklist, a spec comparison table, a field-tested strip, a repair band, field stats, field reports, gear questions, the crew, a brands marquee, trail films, field photo galleries, the trail journal, forms (contact, newsletter, repair and rental request) and complete pages (home, about, contact, landing, repairs, films and photos).
• Trail journal: a blog home with the newest report wide, trip-report cards with reading time, and a "Trip report" template with a full-width photo header and a sticky route card (table of contents, sharing).
• Demo store: Appearance → Import demo creates products, categories, badges, a size guide, Home, About, Contact and Shipping pages, the menu and the store extras, and removes them again with one click.
• Built in, no extra plugins: forms with a Messages screen, galleries with lightbox and carousel, click-to-load video, motion (reduced for visitors who ask for it), light and dark color schemes with a switch, four style variations (Night trail, Alpine, Forest, Field).
